We process your order as quickly as possible, with standard orders going out the next business day (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays), pending credit card authorization and verification. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are shipped the next business day. We do not offer shipping to P.O. addresses. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped UPS 2-Day. For orders over $500, we require your signature on delivery, so please plan accordingly.
A few important notes about overnight delivery:
- Orders requesting overnight delivery must be submitted by 3pm ET, Monday through Friday
- Overnight delivery orders placed Thursday after 3pm ET through Friday 3pm ET will arrive on Monday.
Most of our styles are available for immediate shipment, but our special selection and frequent high demand means some items may be temporarily unavailable. In these situations, we will contact you to determine if you’d prefer to special order the item, or cancel your order.
How secure is delivery?
We ship all of our packages directly from our store in unbranded, discreet padded envelopes or boxes. All packages use the name “Deans”, so they in no way indicate that there are valuables contained inside.
If you choose an insured shipping option, all packages are insured by the US Postal Service and our jewelry store insurance company for complete coverage and peace of mind.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are accepted within 30 days of purchase and our full refund policy can be found here.

How do I know which ring size I need to buy?
We recommend getting a ring equal to, or slightly larger than, you think she’ll need. The majority of our engagement rings come in a standard stock size or 6.5, and can be sized anywhere from a 5 to a 8.5 without any issue. Often we can order your ring custom sized to fit. While we always want to try and get the ring size correct the first time, even if you get it wrong, we can make it right!
Can I design my own ring?

We feature both traditional wax hand carving, and state of the art computerized CAD design, to give you as many options as possible. We also have access to laser engraving services available to personalize any design.
Can I get my purchase engraved?
Dependent on the product purchased from Dean’s Jewelry, our in-store engraver will engrave or personalize your jewelry piece. More advanced engraving services, such as fingerprints or custom handwriting engraving are also available. For specific requests, simply contact us with your requirements or drop into our store.
Do you offer financing options for jewelry?
Yes, we always have interest free financing and layaway plans available to help you afford the jewelry of your dreams. You can find out full details via our financing page.
How Is Dean’s Jewelry different from online jewelry stores?
The largest difference between ourselves and other online jewelry stores is that we also have real brick and mortar jewelry stores in Coshocton and Mount Vernon Ohio. Dean opened our doors in 1966. Your emails and phone calls will always be answered by an owner, or full-time store employee, and never routed through a customer service department.
We have a full-time and very talented goldsmith with over 15 years of experience at the bench. His name is Luke Turner. He is Dean’s grandson. Dean Turner was a colorful character who was loud and loved to laugh. He believed in community, friendship, and making people feel special. He opened Dean's Jewelry, Coshocton in 1966. He loved jewelry because he believed it had the power to convey his values. Dean's son Tim joined the company a few years later as a bench jeweler. Tim believed in hard work, he understood business, and he LOVED diamonds. He traveled all over the world to see them and bring them back to Ohio. Michelle and Noah are Tim's children and the current owners of Dean's Jewelry. Together they opened a second location in Mount Vernon Ohio. They bring the best of everything they learned from Dean and Tim and continue to build a business built on family, community, friendships, and making sure all people feel special. At Dean’s Jewelry, we believe in pricing our jewelry fairly the first-time and never use phony discounts or sales gimmicks. Therefore, we do not use year round discount codes or discount coupons. However, we know you love a great deal and frequently offer special promotions, heavily discounted sales items, and giveaways alongside our year round competitive prices. Do you offer diamond inspections?
Absolutely, and we recommend inspections of diamond jewelry every 6 months. There is never a charge for inspections and cleanings, whether your item was originally purchased from us or not, and you can take advantage of our professional clean and check as often as you wish. Free of charge, we inspect the prongs to help prevent any possible damage or loss of your gemstones.
Do you offer insurance appraisals on your products?
Yes – we’re always happy to provide you with a free, written insurance replacement document for any item purchased from us.
If you wish to sell your jewelry, we will offer you a free, no obligation verbal offer for purchase.
For any items not purchased from us, we will provide you with a comprehensive, written insurance replacement document good for insurance, or private sale, at a fee of $150 per item. This price could fluctuate up or down depending on rarity and complexity.
Do you offer ear piercing?
We offer piercing earrings in several different styles. One or Two of our trained team members will be happy to pierce your ears for you. We recommend scheduling an appointment prior to coming in to ensure we have two piercers on staff.
Do you offer customizations or custom work?

Do you offer mantle or grandfather clock repair?
We do not offer clock repair services. We are able to replace batteries. However, we are unable to repair mechanical clocks. At this time, our local clock repair referrals have retired, and we have been unable to find a new reliable repair person.
Do you buy gold and jewelry?
We buy gold, silver, platinum and diamonds in all shapes, sizes and colors. Don’t worry if the pieces are broken, mismatched, out of style or completely destroyed – they’ll likely be worth something in cash. We are happy to work with you in determining what pieces are simply costume jewelry, and which have a recycling value. Our goldsmith is also available to assist in repairing or custom designing new jewelry from our existing pieces.
Do you offer jewelry restyling?
Yes – we’re always happy to refresh a piece of jewelry to help you fall in love with it again. Just bring it into store or contact us via our contact page with images and your request.
Do you offer jewelry repair?
With over 15 years of experience, our highly skilled goldsmith, Luke Turner, has mastered all aspects of jewelry repair. We feature a state of the art laser welder, in addition to traditional repair techniques.
Timing of repairs
We offer both Standard and Express turnaround time for our repair work:
- Standard is 7 - 10 business days
- Express is 48 hours (appointment required)
We try to complete each service request as quickly as possible, but due to design and craftsmanship characteristics, some rings take longer than others. When we physically inspect your ring, we’ll let you know which turnaround time is possible. Although you can pay extra for Express service on repair work not covered by our guarantees, this is only offered when it is possible to complete the work within 48 hours.
Do you offer watch repair?
We do watch battery replacement, watch strap replacement and some repair.
Watch battery replacements cost $10, and are done while you wait or the following day.
Do you offer pearl and bead restringing?
After initial cleaning by Dean’s Jewelry, we send any restring of necklaces and bracelets to our trusted restringing partner. We will re-string to your exact requirements.
