Getting Married? We Have Your “Something Borrowed” at Dean’s Jewelry!
May 28, 2021
We know you’ve been dreaming about your wedding day since you were little! Wrapped in a white tablecloth, wearing a bath towel “veil” and carrying a bouquet of dandelions! Well now your real wedding day is almost here! You have the rings, the dress, and the love of your life! Date is set, venue is booked, and invitations are sent. Are you missing something? No, not a bath towel veil! Jewelry!!! Yes, we know you have your engagement and bridal rings but what about your other wedding jewelry? Like beautiful earrings, a stunning necklace or a sapphire bracelet for that traditional “something blue”. When you purchase your engagement ring and wedding bands at Deans Jewelry, we will let you borrow any piece of jewelry from our store to wear on your big day, free of charge! So, you can get your dream wedding look without any additional cost!
Here’s just a few things to consider when looking for your wedding day jewelry.
1. Dress style – Keep in mind the neckline, color, and fabric. Some jewelry goes better with certain styles. For example, if you are wearing a strapless gown you may want to forego the necklace and opt for a pair of statement earrings to frame your face. Silver tones go better with bright white, while gold tones work well with ivory. If you’re not really sure what will work best for your dress, just bring in a picture of it and the experts at Dean’s will be happy to help you out!
2. Hair style – Dangle and drop earrings work well with updo’s and short hair styles but if you have long hair and plan to wear it down you may want to opt for a pair of diamond studs or add some mystique with opal earrings. Or skip the earrings and go for a beautiful pendant necklace or statement bracelet instead.
3. Wedding Theme and Color Scheme – If your color scheme has hues of pink, we recommend accenting your look with rose gold. If you are having a vintage theme, borrow a piece from our estate collection! Outdoor wedding? Get inspired by nature designs! Stop by Dean’s and tell us a little about your wedding plans and we can help you plan your wedding jewelry.
4. Stay True to YOUR Style – Don’t lose yourself in the quest for the perfect wedding jewelry. It’s YOUR wedding after all and should reflect you in every way! Sure, your mom may want you to wear her pearls but they just aren’t “you”. Work those pearls into part of your veil or bouquet instead and wear the jewelry you want! (Sorry Mom, we don’t want to create any hard feelings here, but we did come up with an alternate plan for your pearls!)
